Mechatronics of the university of applied science in Bocholt build the first formula-1-simulator
Photos: BOCHOLTER BORKENER VOLKSBLATT
|
The first formula-1-simulator was developed in the mechatronics
high-tech-lab of Prof. Ossendoth at the university of applied science in Bocholt. In contrast to normal
computer simulations the driver's cockpit of this simulator is located on a
PC-controlled motion platform, which passes on all motion forces that act on a
formula-1-driver, to the test driver in the simulator. The whole control has been
realized with a Pentium PC, a standard A/D-D/A card and WinFACT 98.
